Captain Tim Tanghare

Captain Timmy is the co-owner and operator of the Clean Sweep charter business. He is a native of Cape May, New Jersey and has been fishing its waters for over 25 years and sharing his knowledge with charter clients since 1990. He excels at catching all species of fish but specializes in striped bass, tuna and tilefish. Currently 8 world records have been registered with Captain Timmy at the helm. In 2004 he was a host Captain for ESPN’s George Poveromo’s World of Saltwater Fishing. Tim holds various ASA titles as he and the tournament team are top competitors winning or placing in numerous striped bass, shark, fluke, tuna and billfish events. Although the name of the game is fishing not catching, Tim has an uncanny ability to put his charter on the fish of the day. Many believe he has gills. His patience and knowledge of the waters provide him with key ingredients to ensure your trip is a fun filled day regardless of your age or knowledge of fishing. He thrives on sharing his experience and techniques with future anglers and enjoys the pleasure of learning the tricks of the old salt dogs.
